I came to appreciate Dylan through the covers, especially Joan Baez's "Any Day Now." Here's a fave, Eric Clapton's cover of "Love Minus Zero/No Limit" from the 1992 30th Anniversary concert. Love the song; don't quite get the lyric. But still thinking about it after all these years.
BTW, same concert where Sinead O'Connor, fresh off tearing the Pope's picture in half on Sat. Night Live, was treated rather shabbily by the crowd. We've since learned how right she was.
