So, Gov. Christie and the state Repubs will split the cost of the Guv's chopper jaunt to his son's ballgame, then to meet up with wealthy Iowa Repubs who wanted him to run for prez. (Probably not so much anymore). A total of $2,464.59, roughly the reported cost of a hour of chopper operation. Oh, and the Guv will reimburse $919.20 for another, previously undisclosed flight to another ballgame.
State Police giving the Guv cover: "[T]he flights did not cost the state anything extra because they were part of required training for pilots." Good to know that NJ State Police pilot training includes standing around in a field for five innings of a high school baseball game.
Just out of curiosity, who paid for the limo the Guv and his wife rode from the chopper to the ball field?
