No. 1 Pick

Listening to the radio the past couple of days I wondered which over-hyped event is sillier, the NFL draft or the royal wedding? Have decided the NFL draft. Listening to local sports radio WIP's coverage of the draft is like listening to Andy Reid choose lunch. (Still, the Eagles never fail to surprise.) The station spices up the dullness by replaying the 1999 draft when WIP-inspired fans infamously booed the selection of Donovan McNabb. Disgraceful then; disgraceful now.

At least the Brits, and BBC, give you something for your time. Oh, how I wish I could have been in the crowd to see the "Minor Royals" arrive at Westminster, or beheld the Queen decked out in ... lemon.

Also, Brits pronounce "mall" as "mal." We say "maul."
